How to eat like a Local

Do you ever crave a particular food? Mine is always Greek food, but unfortunately the UK doesn’t quite have the same atmosphere as a Greek Taverna.

So how can you guarantee amazing food everywhere you go? Avoid restaurants! Some of the best food can be found in tiny side streets or local tavernas.

Just a few examples:

Best food in Corfu?

Kochili Taverna, Agios Stefanos

Nikolas Tavera, Agni Beach

Best food in Rome?

Il Ristorante Il Pomodorino, Via Campania

Best food in Courmayeur?

Petit Bistrot Creperie

Best food in Syndey?

Pancakes on the Rocks, Circular Quay

Best food in New York?

Treehaus, 3rd Ave

Burger Heaven, E 49th

Best food in Prague?

Vinohradský Parlament, Korunní

How can we tell you this? Because The Travel Business love to travel! Why have the same food in every country when you can experience a taste sensation? If you are staying at a hotel we recommend you ask the Concierge where they go to eat, you’ll find out about a small intimate local business that sells reasonably priced excellent food.

Avoid chain restaurants, and walk down a few side streets, away from the high street, you’ll find hidden treasure.

Send us some photos of your favourite dishes on your next holiday with The Travel Business. Just don’t make us too jealous please!
